We have BAMA the next two years and UGA the following 2. Notre Dame sprinkled in. Then Clemson every year. Miami and UF every year when it mattered. We’ve beaten Wisconsin, Michigan in recent memory.
SOS, SOS, SOS….whoo!
But I’m pulling for any non SEC team this year. (Again)
That is part of what this post is about.
Schedules are not made equal, Indiana missed Illinois, Iowa, USC, PSU, Oregon and Sean McFag was somehow saying that meant the Big 10 was weak also its not like ND is some chump and won by 50 it wasn't that big of a beatdown a couple of coaching decisions different and it might have gone down to the wire. Solid win but not some embarrassing beat down like Tennessee took.
OSU always plays PSU and Michigan and usually a big OOC opponent this year it got messed up cause Oregon and Washington joined the Big 10 they were supposed to play Washington. Next year they play Texas.
The whole conference thing is caused by ESPN for ratings for their money maker the SEC, before these big contracts like in the 80s and 90s they almost never talked about conferences just teams, bowl games and rivalries. No one said the SEC was the best conference until that whole LSU USC OU, Auburn OU USC debate those 2 years then it became full on promotion of SEC after that and exploded with the OSU Florida game cause OSU had 51 days off, got their best weapon injured the first play and played like trash. Troy smith looked like he was playing on a field made out of butter.
