Looks like we just got a QB who was about to enter the nfl draft while your transfer QB couldn't hack it at Clemson. Good luck. And correct me if I'm wrong but didn't one of the top DTs in the country flip to Miami from FSU? Can't say I blame him. I'm looking forward to this defensive line being coached by hall of famer Jason Taylor. :D

Ward is a head case from a 5-7 team. He was going to the NFL for two weeks before announcing he was going to M.I.A. He definitely wants to be the big fish in a little pond. I'm sure Cristobal won't waste him like he did Herbert. Cristobal learned from not taking a knee in Oregon, right? :dog

Speaking of waste, Blount is just going to waste his talent on one of the most underperforming programs in the country with arguably the worst coach in the country, especially considering 7-6 and losing to Rutgers was actually an improvement for M.I.A. There's a reason Norvell got a raise while Cristobal and Napier were completely safe while Alabama was looking for a new coach. :biglol

Speaking of coaches, I'm sure the Jason Taylor, who went on Dancing with the Stars before coaching, is a great one. He was a "defensive analyst" last year. Playing well automatically means you can coach, right? Nick Saban had a great NFL career and coached just like Deion Sanders at DBU Colorado! Their defense, especially secondary, is so good they lost to Stanford with a 29-point lead!

Clemson was far better with Uiagalelei than without him. Fans wanted him back, especially when they were so bad that they lost to M.I.A. I'm sure you remember the beating M.I.A. took the last time they lost to Clemson. Wasn't it 40-10 in Miami? DJU absolutely shredded M.I.A. :dog

You don’t think improvement on a 2 win season is possible? :thought In our shitty conference? :thought

Well, we’ll have about 8 new coaches and what’s looking like a Deion style transfer class to fill all the scrubs who can’t block, tackle or catch transferring out. Colorado is 7-2 after about 45 combined transfers on roster. So there’s that.

2025

Kent State
East Texas A&M

There’s 2 right there to equal 2024. All we need is one more. Yes, I’m assuming we beat Charleston Southern and check out during pre-game for UF

But if we don’t win 3, I’ll gladly accept you bumping this. :dog

1-9. I never thought I’d see the day one of the big three Florida teams would fall this bad. I still think Miami is playing to many transfers where I’d rather see us continue to recruit and develop talent and not rely on transfers. But if you would have told me that Miami would be 9-1 right now with a chance for an ACC championship and possible playoff birth I would have died laughing.

And you have to pay those transfers so hopefully you didn’t waste to much money fighting to get out of the ACC with that 1-9 record.

:biglol I'm more upset over 2023 than 2024. FSU has had lots of underwhelming seasons that ended with ACC championships. Heck 2012 and 2014 were disappointing but we achieved way more in those seasons than M.I.A. has in 20 years: 2 ACC titles, a BCS/NY6 bowl win, and a CFI berth.

2024 M.I.A. has tied for their best season in over 20 years and they STILL can't win a conference title and can't get to a title game when the field is expanded to an unprecedented TWELVE teams. Indiana football got to the CFI before your sad program ever did. That's hilarious.

I can't imagine going from 9-0 to exiting the Top 12. You had to win one of two games against JAWJA TECH and SORRYEXCUSE and couldn't win one when BOTH OPPONENTS were UNRANKED! :biglol

Outside of 2 cupcakes and 8 OT against GT, Beck had 14 TD and 12 INT.

He's still better than the disaster we witnessed in the 2nd half of Miami's bowl game.

I also remember when he played against FSU in a bowl game. :dog

This is actually a smart move by Mario bringing in an experienced quarterback. We return an offensive line that will straight up run you over. We just have unproven running backs and receivers yet they’re all 4 star recruits according to the recruiting sites. The disaster that needs to be fixed is the defense especially the secondary. They say Mario is a good recruiter so I’m ready to see his recruits get developed yet unfortunately we’ll still have to rely on the portal to fill positions. We open at home against ND and Florida next year. Should be fun.

He straight tore those Nole 3d and 4th stringers up. :dog

It is actually a good move. He is not worth 4 million though. That’s more than Cam got and this guy is not Cam Ward.

Is Mario a good recruiter or is he simply a good procurement specialist (check writer)? Serious question. Hard to tell with Oregon money and now Miami money. There is a difference.

No one expected Cam Ward to have the season he did. The receivers he had last year were above average at best. He had to hold on to the ball a lot waiting for someone to get open. Luckily he had a good offensive line to protect him. According to the recruiting sites Mario has recruited well the last few years. Now we’ll see if he can develop the talent he’s recruited.
