Why are bowl games played in winter/cold weather?

Northern bias! Have them play in 90+ degree heat and see how well those northern teams do!

Are you watching this BC-Iowa game? It's like playing on a hockey rink. Brutal.

Playing in the snow is the best period.

I disagree that the talent is better, can you prove to me it is. There are also other factors involved, you have more time to train in the south, there are less sports that are popular like Hockey, Wrestling. Why would a certain area have better athletes than another area? You watch ESPN too much.

80° monsoon games are best. :yes

Good read: http://www.espn.com/espnmag/story?id=3286059

Also... (yes, I'm aware all 4 teams are from the south)

I made the thread? Also that reddit thing is pretty dumb if you want to do something like that take a chart of NFL rosters or something why use the 4 playoff teams? Its pretty obvious that the playoff teams are going to be loaded with southern players when all the playoff teams are in the south pretty much this year.

Do that same chart for 2014 or 2016 and see the results I bet they are completely different.

My point was some athletes that would play football are likely getting into other sports that aren't as popular in the south. Why would states in a different area have more athletic / talent than another area in the same fucking country with similar populations? The only explanation would be interest levels not talent or athletic ability.

I live in Florida, Brandon.

What does that have to do with liking football played in the snow? It is hilarious to me how controversial this subject is for college football when the NFL has legendary stadiums / games played in the snow during the playoffs.

Further proof that no one wants to play in the damn snow. You have to pay them millions to do so.

Imagine your fingers getting crushed between a football and a facemask in sub-zero conditions. :scared :no :surrender

You must love root canals and waterboarding.

I could barely tolerate sub-40 temps when it was raining, and that was playing offense, defense, and special teams.

If more blacks lived in the north they’d produce more big time football players. That’s what it really comes down to people
