This is what is bad for Alabama and good for Ohio State

2015 rankings of Ohio State and Stanford. Stanford had 2 somewhat bad losses, but played a better schedule than Ohio State, Ohio State was a 1 loss team without a CC and finished 1 spot behind Stanford.

Doesn't matter.

We should've won if we wanted to be in.

Same for ohsu.

Whoever gets in gets in, and who gets left out gets left out.

sure it matters but neither team can complain if they are left out.

Just saying it doesn't matter because those are 2 diff teams, and we are dealing with humans and a few years of experience past them.

Bama vs ohsu is diff than Stanford vs ohsu.

Human bias is going to exist and Bama would get the benefit of doubt before Stanford would or other teams because of the Name, coach, and our recent history. Wether it's right or wrong, I'm not saying we deserve it this year either, just saying it happens every year.

Same with ohsu getting bias over other teams too.

If we get in I hope we don't play like we just did, and if we don't get in I hope we get a good matchup in a bowl game and kick ass.

Ohio State 2015 would be given the benefit of doubt just as much as Alabama would this year, they dominated the playoff the year before, had almost everyone back and a big brand name, but yet Stanford with 2 losses was ranked higher because their schedule was better.

Best thing for 2017 Ohio St?

2016 Ohio St.

1-loss teams who didn't win their own division couldn't have a worse track record in the playoffs.

Problem is it was Ohio State, so that cancels the stigma out.

I was thinking the same thing.

2016 Ohio State fucked it up for every non-conf or even non div winner.

It's a good thing though. Conference championships should still mean something.

If OSU finished 12-1 (having played some directional Michigan, Kent/Ball St, or Bowling Green instead of OU), would there even be a debate between them an Bama? :happyno I'm assuming they beat Wisconsin, of course, which is no guarantee.

I agree to a degree. It has to make sense. FSU went to ACC CG (and won) in 2005 with a 7-4 record (8-4 after CG).

I agree to a similar degree. Conference championships should mean something, but not everything. Stanford, if they beat USC, shouldn't get in over any 1-loss teams (not that they are even in the conversation, and rightfully so).
