A lot of comedy moments in it. That's one reason the avengers was better, avengers had the right amount of comedy in just the right places

it was mostly comedy i'd say. so when they tried to get serious it was like whatever I dont care. The bad guy in the movie was a fucking beast though. Sucks he lost :(

Guardians of the Galaxy was a test to be honest. Spiderman, Ironman, X-Men, Captain America, and the Avengers will sell due to its name alone. Since Guardians of the Galaxy was mildly successful then that will easily open the door for more Marvel comics becoming movies.

I had a reply going to EB and paused for a few came back it was gone.

Ashley hadn't watched any super hero movies since George Clowney batman. (Ic)

Anyways talked her into seein the avengers and she loved it.

You don't have to watch iron man 1&2, cap 1 Thor 1 and hulk to like it BUT to get the most out of it and to keep getting it out of the marvel universe with im 3 cap 2 and 3 Thor 2 & 3 more hulk and the avengers 2 & 3 and guardians 2 & 3 it's no reason not to watch them as they are good to great movies.

Then there are other additions to the marvel univers too

No there was more

Here are reviews from parent review site
I use them for my 6 year old nephew and 9 ur old niece

Guardians
Language: The script contains a partial use of a strong sexual expletive, a crude hand gesture and numerous uses of scatological slang, profanities, name-calling and some vulgar expressions.

Avengers
Language: The script contains infrequent mild profanities and terms of Deity.

And here's my problem with guardians

Someone's review

Was not expecting it to be this hilarious. I laughed at least every five minutes and cried laughing twice. The characters are genuinely interesting and the entire movie was an action packed thriller that never took itself too seriously. Great movie. Would see it again. Recommend seeing this movie ASAP.

If I had went out to the theatre and spent $25 or more at the theatre and then watched it with a room full of assholes making noise I'd probably be pissed

However rented it from redbox for $.75 watched it here with just us on my comfy couch instead of chairs that hurt my back and no people annoying me so I'm pleased with it, just not like the avengers or some of their others.

770 million for box office is pretty good especially for many people not really familiar with Guardians of the Galaxy.

Third most in both MCU phases so far. AoU will surpass it in May.

It's big and great business but didn't touch the first avengers and the 2nd will crush guardians and beat the first avengers

Here's some on the first avengers

“The Avengers” reached the $1 billion mark as quickly as “Avatar” and the last “Harry Potter” movie, despite opening earlier overseas than in America. Marvel’s action-packed tentpole (which unites several of their heroes) already broke the all-time opening weekend record when it opened last weekend, and with its $103.2 million estimated domestic gross this weekend, “The Avengers” is now the record holder for the biggest second-weekend number too. Thanks to its $628.9 million 19-day international haul, “The Avengers” is now one of only 11 movies to climb past the $1 billion mark worldwide.

The avengers DOUBLED Guardians

Total Lifetime Grosses
Domestic: $623,357,910 41.0%
+ Foreign: $895,237,000 59.0%
= Worldwide: $1,518,594,910
Domestic Summary
Opening Weekend: $207,438,708
(#1 rank, 4,349 theaters, $47,698 average)
% of Total Gross: 33.3%
> View All 22 Weekends
Widest Release: 4,349 theaters
Close Date: October 4, 2012
In Release: 154 days / 22 weeks
