Why?

The fact that you ask 'Why?' you should address/discuss a playoffs post season performance is really the problem, it's clear you do not understand so I'll try and explain it to you.

When you want to make a case for GOAT you have to understand what it means to be 'great' wrt to pro athletes.

The great athletes have always been exceptional in the regular season (Peyton,Jeff George, Lebron James before the cHeat move), the greatest athletes have always been those who can perform in the post season/playoffs when the pressure is the highest and championships are on the line (Brady, Jeter, Jordan etc).

Greatness is forever intertwined with winning titles, since that is the goal of every sport. The more titles you win, the greater the argument for said player.

Does the player have to be flawless in the post season? No. Brady has lost Super Bowls, Mariano Rivera choked World Series, but both have won more titles than they have lost.

The same can't be said for Peyton. His playoff record is sub .500, he has 24 INTS in 23 games - that's shitty, hence he's back of the line.

So Wayne, Harrison, Clark (from the colts), and d Thomas, welker, and J Thomas are all scrubs. Plus those other great QBs never switches teams for greener pasture. They aren't the best ever. Neither Thomas would be nearly as known without Peyton. They are good but Peyton makes every receiver he has better. Marvin was really good but he was never considered the number 1 receiver in the league and he wasn't the best ever. Peyton made him top 3 though in numbers.
