Trolling M.I.A. aside, this system is a load of shit.

I know some people hate the BCS, but that was way better than letting a bunch of 2- and 3-loss teams in the fucking playoffs. It's ridiculous.

FSU would have at least 7 national titles if they had this format since 1987. They've devalued the regular season and destroyed all but the CFI bowls.

I'd have the first four out as:
South Carolina
Miami
Mississippi
Alabama

ESPiN's blatant pro-Bama propaganda leading up to the selection was hilarious... and Saban was just sad. :sadyes

Paraphrasing... "Bama only got blown the fuck out by 6-6 Chokelahoma because that game was sandwiched between epic matchups against titans like... FCS Mercer and 5-6 Auburn." :eb

Saban also said they got it right and the best teams are in the playoffs. Said no coach should be complaining.

I didn't bother to watch after teams were announced.

The best ESPiN spin was their infographic noting that mighty Bama was 5-1 against teams over .500, while SMU was 5-2 (ignoring that Bama was 1-2 against .500 teams :lolthumb ).

Can someone please explain to me how Penn State and Texas are ranked higher than Ohio State?

I know OSU had that terrible loss but its not like Michigan is god awful and dominated them or something like OU did Alabama.

They missed 2 chipshot field goals to lose basically.

Ohio State beat Penn State on the road, also beat Indiana and Penn State beat no one like that and lost to Oregon by more on a neutral site vs at home.

Texas played 2 ranked teams all year and lost both times, Georgia, including 1 that was domination.

Other than that I am pretty good with the playoff rankings though other than I think the whole system is trash with the bye weeks for chumps like ASU and Boise.

Should be interesting I expect Ohio State to probably blow the game vs Tennessee since that is what Ryan Day does, Penn States path is extremely easy.

I like ND to crush Georgia in round 2, Honestly I think Georgia sucks and is just lucky, GT dominated them the whole game until they ran out of defensive backs, also the refs stole the game with that bullshit Pass INT where Georgias WR committed offensive PI.

I absolutely loved Saban's crying I like how he failed to mention they lost 24-3 to fucking Oklahoma who is 500 and was 1-5 vs Power 4 teams.

They need to quit counting games vs FCS teams as wins.

It was immediately after they announced SMU. They went straight to Saban. You can YouTube it, but doubt you’re that interested/vested. :ROFL2

He did ramble on about SOS throughout the show.

1. Can't punish teams for making their CCG and reward teams for sitting at home.
2. Don't forget that Ohio St is one Netrashka TD from being in Bama's shoes.

I agree, but after Oregon at #1... :dunno

I like rewarding conference champs, and I think ASU and Boise could actually win their first game.

I think Ohio St wins by 20+.

In response to

1. Can't punish teams for making their CCG and reward teams for sitting at home.

I would agree with that if the conference schedules were even but they are not so these CC games should not have near as much weight as they do now, and in the past they did not, for example Alabama 2011/2017, Ohio State 2016

Another reason WTF was Miami out and Clemson in the tie breakers are fucking dumb, they should just use playoff rankings.

2. Don't forget that Ohio St is one Netrashka TD from being in Bama's shoes.

Don't forget that Georgia is about 20 points away from being 500, every team has had at least 1 ugly game, Oregon went to OT with Boise, should have lost to OSU if not for a BS offensive PI, could have easily lost 2 other games like Wisconsin. Same with everyone else.

Penn State should have lost to USC and didn't have to play 3 top 10 teams only 1.

By Sabans logic Florida or Michigan should be #1

Michigan played OSU, Oregon, Texas, Indiana, Illinois so they should be #1 cause of SOS, thats all that matters it doesn't matter if you lose 24-3 to an unranked team late in the season.
