I believe that should be offered to everyone. It’d be an investment into a better country.

Or? We stop injecting our children over 80 times from birth and feeding them absolute nonsense while putting them on cocaine because they are "ADHD". We're doing it to ourselves, homie... :crazy

Fucking truth

JdPat04 wrote:“You don’t like it, you can move” is stupid as fuck.

Oh, really? Well over 10,000,000 have done just that during the Biden-Harris administration alone. You know what's actually stupid as fuck? I'd love to tell you, but you'd probably say it's off topic instead of responding.

You gonna answer these?:
How many does a bomb kill?
How many does an SUV or UHaul truck kill? ...during a parade?
How many does an illegally obtained gun kill when all law-abiding people have no means to defend themselves?
How many does an authoritarian government kill after disarming all of its citizens?

Probably good to know, because that's what you're gonna get. Well, hopefully not the last one, but it will be far too late to do anything about it if it does happen.

“Hatred of bill of rights” because I think we need mental healthcare for everyone? That’s fucking stupid, and you saying that shows you are bad faith arguing.

It’s obvious that America has several glaring issues. Gun violence is one, mental health is another, and medical costs/insurance costs are a huge one, and we should stop just ignoring them and pretending like they’re not an issue.

How many does a bomb kill? Depends on the size of the bomb.

How
Many Americans have been killed on American soil, by bombs, over the last 50 years? Bombs also can’t be purchased in the store, and they are probably illegal. I wonder if that’s why only a few people have been killed by bombs, compared to guns?

How many Americans have been killed by vehicles at a parade, over the last 50 years?
Hell, how many Americans have been MURDERED by a vehicle over the last 50 years.

You also have to have registration, and license, insurance, and an age limit to drive a car. So I guess you think we need all of those to use guns, right? Since you’re wanting to compare the two items, when they really aren’t even that comparable. Especially comparing the number of victims

What’s the most people that have been killed by a vehicle? I don’t think it’s as many as a school shooting.

Shit make it 100 years and then compare it to how many Americans have been killed by a gun ov the last 20?

How many fucking kids have been killed in school over the last 25?

I guarantee the guns are more.

Your question about the government killing people… I’m more worried about my son getting shot in school, than I am the government.

Also, how’s life in Australia going right now? I think they have a low number of guns, so I’m assuming the government must be killing them all?

Did some work for you,
The proportion of Australians who hold a gun licence has fallen by 48 percent since 1997.
The proportion of Australian households with a firearm has fallen by 75 percent in recent decades.
Data indicates that people who already own guns have bought more rather than an increase in new gun owners.

Surely with their buyback program and a 75% decline in homes owning guns the government has run amuck over there and is just killing everyone… right?

That's not what I said and you know it. Where does it say anything in the Bill of Rights about denying mental healthcare? :crazy Jesus, dude.

Laws get passed on these issues all the time, and they are constantly covered in the media. It doesn't sound like we're ignoring them and pretending like they’re not an issue. It sounds like our solutions aren't working.

People don't have to resort to bombs... yet. Also, bombs are not very effective for self defense.

However, 86 people were killed by a truck in France. That's far more than any mass shooting in US history.

You continue to miss the point. People are going to continue to kill each other, just by other (sometimes more effective, as shown above) means. Law-abiding people will just be defenseless.

Then you end up with shit like this:
In Toronto, home invasions and break-ins for auto thefts rose 400 per cent last year, the Toronto Police Service said.

And this:
Leave car keys by the front door to avoid home invasion, Toronto police officer says

And eventually (?):
Just leave your wives and daughters chained to a tree outside so no one else has to get hurt while they get raped.

You started off your post above saying immigration was on topic since I hated the bill of rights. Nothing in this thread has me hating the BoR, nor anywhere on Reddit, do I show a hatred of BoR.

How many people are dying by guns in Australia and by vehicle, bombs, or knives?

What’s their Number of murders per capita?

You got me with the France thing, though we had 60 killed in The Vegas shooting, with something like 400 more injured, and the ensuing panic raising it to 800.

So that is “close” to the France.

Back to people are going to be killed no matter what. You are correct, but it’ll school stabbings, and not shootings. Which still needs to be fixed and that’s back to mental health. But I’d rather have a school stabbing instead of a school shooting.

I was talking about emigration, not immigration.

How exactly do you plan on ending shootings in this country? Have you actually read the Bill of Rights?

JdPat04 wrote:How many people are dying by guns in Australia and by vehicle, bombs, or knives?

You tell me.

JdPat04 wrote:What’s their Number of murders per capita?

It has always been significantly lower than the US. They tend to be less insane and get along with each other better.

We may be a country of idiots, but even idiots can figure out a way to kill more people than by stabbing. They may even find more effective ways than shooting (see: France)!

It looks like the voters did not agree with you.

The current financial situation overrides debate winners and losers.

Spoiler:
Also :troll

I'm more worried about Ukraine and potential WW3 with Dump in charge. A depleted Ukraine can't stave off the Russians and a win in Ukraine will likely embolden Putin to start attacking NATO members like the Baltic states.

It certainly played a major role.

A look at what has actually happened is a better measure of what will likely happen than media hysteria.
Ukraine
Obama years - Russia takes Crimean Peninsula (roughly 10,400 square miles)
Trump years - Nothing
Biden years - Russia takes Eastern/Southern Ukraine (roughly 42,000 square miles)

WW3
Trump years - Despite media predictions of WW3, nowhere close.
Biden years - Closest we've been to WW3 since the Cuban Missile Crisis... per Joe Biden himself.

This is nothing more than a neocon, military-industrial-complex talking point, and has no basis in reality. Both Putin and NATO know that Russia invading a NATO country would either end in nuclear war (which no one wants) or conventional war which would take Russia generations to recover from. If Russia can't even take Ukraine, they'd get wrecked by the full might and mobilization of NATO.

What have all the billions of dollars and dead Ukrainians gotten us?
Nov 2022 - Russia controlled ~42,000 square miles of Ukraine
Nov 2024 - Russia controls ~42,000 square miles of Ukraine, except both countries (and everyone* else who has poured $$$ into the war) are worse off than in 2022

*certain people are profiting from this, of course

Where will this end?
1. Russia will likely keep 30,000-45,000 square miles of Ukraine (like they kept the Crimean Peninsula), and the world can quit throwing billions of dollars and tens of thousands of lives down this money pit.
It could have ended this way 2+ years ago. - MOST LIKELY
2. We can totally abandon Ukraine and let Russia slowly take it. - I ASSUME THIS (OR #4) IS STILL THE LEFTIST PREDITCION, THOUGH HIGHLY UNLIKELY
3. We can escalate and risk WW3. - <0.0001% CHANCE (WITHOUT JOHN BOLTON)
4. We can totally abandon Ukraine and let Russia slowly take it... then they start invading NATO countries - 0% CHANCE

If Putin's decision-making made sense, he wouldn't be sending his entire military to die in Ukraine while his country's economy evaporates. :justsayin

Situation 1 isn't going to end anything. It will pause the war until Russia regroups and decides they want more because they got a lot of land the last time. Depending on your definition, the Ukraine War has been going on since 2014. Also their bargaining position is much worse now that Ukraine has pushed into Russia. If NATO countries had the balls, including us, we'd actually send troops to pacify Russia and this war would have ended 2 years ago. A bunch of Wagner shitheads damn near made it to Moscow.

Can you imagine giving up like 80% of the East Coast to a foreign country? That's what Ukraine would be giving up if they went with the treaty you're suggesting. I mean they already lost their Florida or Texas in Crimea.
