It's pretty simple, if you want to be the GOAT you have to be the GOAT in Clutch time, or at least in the top 2.

The only exception to that is if the player was stuck on a worthless pile of shit team their entire career aka Marino, Barry Sanders.

Peyton does not fit that criteria, he played on stacked squads, so he doesn't get a pass.

Yea, Demetrius Thomas, Wes welker, sanders, Julius Thomas, and an o line anchored by clady is the best accumulation of offensive personnel in the nfl. The point being the Broncos as a team were better without manning than the colts were. But neither can be considered stacked. If he went to San fran who was 12-4 instead of the 8-8 Broncos then yes he would have joined a stacked team. And they probably would have done better than the Broncos with manning, but now they are all getting arrested and hating the coach so not a bad decision in hindsight
