Defending national champs go 11-1 Ohio State lost on a last second field goal to a playoff team, beat a ranked Michigan team
Stanford had 2 bad losses to 2 mediocre teams and won the Pac 12 going 11-2.

They just contradicted themselves today, same exact scenario but flip flopped.

It is a legit question why are you straying from the topic?

Any team can win 1 game if given a chance every fucking year. How many opportunities does Alabama get without deserving it. 2011, 2012, 2017 are absolutely undeserving teams

No it had to do with them valuing the Pac 12 championship more and how weak Ohio State's schedule was.

It was literally the same exact scenario and made 0 difference in bowl games. Go back and look at the teams schedules.

If say Oklahoma had lost 1 more game during the regular season badly like USC did this year to Notre Dame, the scenario would have been identical.

You would have had Stanford and Ohio State competing for that 4th place spot in the same exact scenario as this year. Which would have gone to Stanford based on the final rankings.
