In all seriousness, I cheer for the guy. This Miami season just reminds me of so many Georgia seasons. I hope he wins, but I am glad we moved on. We had plateaued. Worst case is he has made Miami relevant again and will recruit well, so the next guy should be in position to put them over the top.

a thought from this weekend i wanted to share:
i feel really bad for all of the bandwagon miami fans who emerged from the woodwork this season for the first time in 15 years, invested their money in turnover chain shirts and crash-studied the roster, only to learn that their magical season was really just a jim mcelwain division champion illusion

from experience, i can say that it’s a drag to win 10 games, go to your conference championship and then learn that you are still miles away from the national elite. poor miami

I’d say that it’s more similar to being a 2012 Florida Gator fan. Go 11-2 with a new head coach and young QB that mostly relies on their stellar defense to give their stagnant offense short fields and low scores, only to get embarrassed against a Louisville team in the Sugar Bowl. Hey, at least it wasn’t an underachieving Pitt team
