I work for a German company and am surrounded by Germans so it's not really so much of a surprise. My German is okay but anyone fluent in the language who thinks I myself am from Germany must think I'm just a retarded German person.

I meant to say it was a "Bizarre Observation" not observance. Nobody had said anything for, like, 10 minutes. I was starting to get uncomfortable...

I shit you not, I gave a 2 hour presentation on the physics of solid state lasers to a group of people who then later confused me with someone else - a German - who looks somewhat like me, and complimented him to a friend on the quality of my delivery. Am I really that forgettable a person? :crazy

Close! Well, on the Siemens thing, anyway. I work for a German mittelstand that's not quite on the scale of Siemens. We do have a pretty close relationship with them, though.
