I'm applying for the Rays Manager Position
Posted: November 3rd, 2014, 12:53 amThey seem to want a people person that is good with stats not so much fundamentals.
My Key points:
Played little league through HS.
Left hand pitcher with super fastball in little league "majors."
Better at first base since I was left handed.
Been in the batter's box, not afraid to get beaned.
My philosophy is make the batter beat himself, when in doubt, high and inside.
No bunting, too ghey.
Be physical, own the plate at all times.
No takes, swing for the fences
All players need to take kickboxing lessons, let's not have a brawl that looks like people are air swimming.
Worked in IT as a program MANAGER
Have my own laptop
Consider myself an intermediate user when it comes to Excel
OK with playing baseball inside, use shadows to our advantage
If serious about hiring me I will purchase latest version of MLB video game to get a feel for competition and their stadiums
Negotiating points:
Insist on at least league minimum salary as outlined in MLB arbitration or what ever applies to managers.
Meals and hotels are to be paid for, not out of pocket
Must have cheerleaders, female cheerleaders
Get rid of Raymond mascot, he looks like a unit
My uniform must say "Boss" on the back
When I order nachos must use real Wisconsin cheese
