Yea I'm shocked they went to this PG format. They were doing so well because of the "adult" content. Its like South Park deciding racist jokes are no longer funny.

Welcome Oregonduck.

Here's what you do when on this board with posters:

a. Are you fucking them (hopefully not)?

b. Are they signing your paycheck (hopefully not)?

So who really gives a fuck at what anyone here says? :2thumbs

I heard they had to cut a lot of people because of financial struggles recently or something close to that.

So did the move just back fire completely on them?

I got yelled at directly by those guys who dressed like greasers and had that 50s lookin chick on roller skates. It was pretty cool though. I was drunk and we had floor seats and when they got close enough to us i went EYYYYYYYYYYYYY ITS THE FONZZZZZZZZZ!!! and gave 2 big thumbs up and one of them looked right at me and yelled "YOU BETTER LEARN HOW TO SHUT YOUR MOUTH!" :biglol it was so awesome. I had people we knew texting us from like 20-30 rows up asking if they were yelling at me. :yes

Nah they lost money in the last quarter so to flip it and turn a profit on every way they could they cut out a part of the budget. They let several of their wrestlers go who were doing much of nothing and several that were at the WWE performance center that I guess they didn't have a good outlook for. Then the shutdown the magazine which was actually making money but they needed to make it look like the WWENETWORK is making a profit at all times so they are maneuvering everything around it right nod. They are focusing on the Network and the shows. Wwe has had the same problems for several years.

They have a booking committee... It's hard to write tv shows when it's 9 people plus Vince and there is a board of directors to answer to as well.

Back when it was the attitude era wwe was private and owned by the mcmahons only. He also only had 1 and or 2 writers writing all the shows for him. So that goes a lot smoother and is. Lot easier than trying to have 10 people and BoD giving input on what's going on.

They also don't plan ahead. They should have atleast a 6 month plan for every wrestler plus back up plans in case stuff happens. If youre serious about it you'd have youre stories scripted out to a year in an advance and could make small tweaks here and there.

Not them.... Nope they will write a show for Raw and rewrite it 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 times.... They've even rewritten them as the show is happening LIVE.

There is a leaked script online for one of the raws. Somebody left it laying around after the show was done and someone cleaning the arena found it and took pics and uploaded it. You could see all the rewrites and everything. It's pathetic. And then even the rewrites were ignored

Another problem is the writers are writing the wrestlers promos.... That shit don't work. SCSA the rock, dx, Hart, none of them EVER had scripts wrote for them. If they were ever even told what to say it would've been more if a "ok the storyline is going this way and these points are gonna happen, you say what you need to say to sell it"

But most of the time nothing was said

Guess which wrestlers don't get scripts that I know of for sure....

Jericho....
Punk...

I would guess Cena and Orton don't.

Heyman doesn't.

Bray Wyatt who is A 3rd generation wrestler the Rotunda was his father and his bro also wrestles as Bo Dallas "bolieve" and he Tebows when he gets in the ring. But yeah he puts on some bad ass promos that are evil like the rotundas and reminds you of Jake Roberts promos just not that good.

I think he gets to do his own material but they probably check it since he's still "new" he was on NXTs first season then came in with Nexxus as husky Harris then went back to developmental and worked there some more as Bray Wyatt and formed the Wyatt family. You could check out some of his promos.

I think i heard they tried to give Ric Flair a script when he came back but he threw the shit away.

Of course HHH doesn't get a script, and when the Rock is there he doesn't.

And some wrestlers do need it but thats their problem. They need to be able to put on their on gimmick and sell it themselves.

The other side is that a lot of wrestlers don't need it BUT they are too afraid to go off script or to speak up. They're afraid of being punished and turned into a comedy act or into a jobber or off tv altogether which happens all the time. Happens with Dolph Ziggler, happening with Damien Sandow, happened with swagger, Cesaro, Cody Rhodes.

That also makes me mention that the Rhodes brothers are a good thing right now.

Gold dust and Cody Rhodes aka Stardust at the moment. He was Cody since he started but they went on a losing streak and he dressed up similar to gold dust and is acting more bizAre than gold dust and it's pretty damn entertaining plus they can wrestle and gold dust is in the best shape of his career.

Hoping they leave the PG crap. Rumors of WWE going private again and ditching their stock because it just isn't working out.

If they go back to TV-14, doesn't mean they have to go back to some of the super edgy storylines or content in the ring...Just gives them more freedom to do better stuff, and cut better promos. Some of Cena's promos are so cheesey it is ridiculous.

His wrestling can be awesome. Most of his tv max the she uses about 8 moves. But if you watch his matches with CM punk he pulls out moves that you've never seen him use and if he did he wouldn't get boo'd by every male thats older than 15 years old.

I am a fan of the heels over him.

Im a fan of the "wrestlers" over the entertainers. I like punk, Jericho, Daniel Bryan, Cesaro, Rollins, Ambrose, Cody Rhodes, ted Diniase except he's done i think or still injured. But I give Cena the respect. He has been the face for 10 years the only problem is he hasn't fuckingn changed in the 10 years. But he works his ass off doing every raw and the house shows and make a wish and all that while getting injured and coming back asap.

I'm not sure if he ever will turn heel.

1. He's their biggest merchandise seller. Turning heal doesn't sell the merch for the kids like him being a face does.

2. They need a top baby face that can carry the company. Could've been Punk but yeah... And could've been DB but never wil know. If he turns heel it will be when Reigns comes to the to and DB is back, and almost at the end of his career.

3. Make a wish and al the charity work he does. It's hard to do that and still be a heel. For you to be a real heel you don't need to be signing autographs at any point. You need to act like your character 24/7. If he's a "heel" but doing make a wish the people will still cheer for him, OR they won't want him as a wish anymore.

I think you have to do it all to be great.
Jericho, HBK, Hart, Flair, Randy Savage, Undertaker....all had great characters, mic skills, and great technical ability.

His character was part of that an insanely good. But once he got on the mic he was awesome. Hogan has no technical abilities at all but his abilities on the mic and as the "face" of WWE was huge. That and his work in NWO. But if you're going best wrestlers, he lacks one key area...he sucked at wrestling. Punch, kick stomach, Hulk a mania punches, body slam, Boot, leg drop. That's Hulk Hogan. The Rock was the best on the Mic I agree. Him, Stone Cold, and DX with Shawn and HHH were the best Mics I can remember.

Man the undertaker was such a beast back then! It was soooo cool when he came out in complete darkness not that later on pretty dark crap. And when he walked on the top rope... I think he was also the one to break through the ring from underneath. I really need to YouTube that to see the context. There used to be a justintv channel that would loop all the raws in order with ppvs from like 93-2003 and it was awesome. Another had raw then nitro in order from every week and that was badass too
