Sad this guy lost his life. Especially for a traffic stop. :facepalm

Honestly I wish the victim was a black cop or the shooter was a white guy so we wouldn't have to hear all this fucking racial bullshit. I'm so fucking sick of it.

Yeah, it's pretty fucked up that any killing involving multiple races is considered more "newsworthy" than killings within a race. It's kind of like when some chick goes missing. If she's hot, it's all over the news for weeks; if she's not... back page paragraph at best.

The issue goes much further than the police.

1. Privatization of prisons is a true problem. They need bunks filled.
2. Bunks being filled means stricter and laws put on the books that needn't be there.
3. Police have to fill those beds as their higher ups receive the pressure the shit rolls downhill.

In terms of the police? Time to stop hiring uneducated proto-Simeans to be cops. Nothing worse than these tatted up juice heads that are in their mid 20's acting like peace makers. Starting age for a cop should be 30 and have training from the military.

Serves two purposes. It gives vets, the ones that are mentally/physically able the opportunity for a career and these guys understand the rules of engagement. They are better prepared to deal with the public.

In all reality, America wasn't intended to be a police state. The laws were enacted to protect the victim and allow for defense. Along the lines people began asking for protection and here we are. We need to get back to harsher penalties for the guilty which would lessen the crime rate alone. Fear of actual punishment over short term incarceration solves the bigger issue which then resolves the "need" for police.

We have had young cops, private prisons, and the other stuff you mentioned for a good long time, but race relations gotten worse under this administration.

First, my rant wasn't based as a response to the officer shot. It was intended as a part of an overall solution.
Second, private prisons are relatively new and are the first reason cops are more aggressive. They have quotas due to the prisons.
Third, I actually did say how voting elephants and donkeys are the problem.
Fourth, yes, the tats and age are a big part of it. Your job is supposed to be a profession and be professional. Not comparing tats and looking like the scum bags you arrest. Wear long sleeves and be the professional or find a different career. Have pride.
Fifth, race baiters exist on both sides, Limbaugh as an example, and the only way to rid the planet of them is to stop listening when they speak. Low level people will not. Why? Because, like with religion, the small minded people need someone to look up to and to bring to life what they refuse to learn on their own. Easier to be a skin head and believe in white power than it is to accept that they are the crux of the issue. Education is key. Take the south off welfare and put that money to schools as well as making abortions a thing people can embrace. Push planned parenthood. Haarrrrrrd!

2. Haven't cops had quotas for forever? Are their quotas black people only? I was pulled over when younger and had a bottle of pain pills in my cup holder, 3am in a known drug area. Had 3 black boys inside my truck, and 3 more in the back. I had 2 cops called to my scene. I was 20-21, and I was let go. It wasn't because I was white, because if that had been my dad, he would've been arrested and he's white too.

I was in crack alley, at 3 am with the black teenagers inside and in the back of my truck because I had just left work. Where they had been, and their parents didn't come pick them up, and expected them to walk home like they did every fucking night. I drive them home like I did every night. The bottle of pain pills was there because of my back and leg.

I was very respectful to the cop and honest and didn't give any problems at all. They could've fucked me over just for their quota, why didn't they? maybe it was also because I was trying to help out 8 (I had dropped 2 off at home in front of the cop that got me) black teenagers get home safely every weekend night because their parents didn't give a fuck.


3. Well for one not all elephants and donkeys are bad just almost all, and there isn't enough of anybody else to vote for. It's holding them accountable and not re electing them when they do this shit which isn't happening.

4. If you judge somebody for tattoos then it's okay for cops to judge people for tattoos, their clothes, their accessories, their cars, where they are driving at, what time, etc...

1A: in actuality, they don't start it, but they definintely do profit from it. i completely agree with your wanting them gone but this isn't a one way street. they have a right to protest, peacefully, and they should invoke that right if they so desire. 2A: quota's are different when having to nail people for prison as opposed to simply handing out tickets for speeding. if you cannot understand the difference in those two ideas than i cannot help you.
